The Department library one of the oldest and largest library among the science Department in terms of collection is an excellent resource for all students and staff. It offers a pleasant and quiet study space with plenty of natural light and is located on the first floor of the Department.
The Library is fully automated with thousands of online journals are available. There are ample sockets for laptops and other devices as well as wi-fi throughout the area. The library has PCs for use with printing and scanning. The library collections include thousands of books covering the breadth of zoology teaching and research. These are a useful resource when writing a postgraduate project, thesis or a research paper. All current members of the Department are eligible to borrow books once their Library Card has been registered with library staff. Book recommendations are always welcome. The library also offers in house reading and reference facility for students, researchers and teaching faculty from outside the Zoology Department.
We have multiple copies of many important books for short- and long-term loans are available. There is also vacation borrowing for Department students. The library collections include thousands of books covering the breadth of zoology teaching and research. These are a useful resource when writing a project, a postgraduate thesis or a research paper. There are also a large collection of PhD theses, M.Phil. Dissertations and M.Sc. dissertation for reference purpose.

Admissions requirements for visiting readers
Visiting readers are admitted at the discretion of the Head of the Department and should arrange an appointment with the Librarian in advance. Appointments can only be arranged in working hours from Monday to Saturday.
Library hours- 10:00AM-5:00PM, Monday to Saturday
